The I&RS team is made up of several members of the Middle School
staff including an administrator, SAC, nurse, CST member and
teacher/s. Ms. Francavilla, SAC, is the facilitator of the I&RS
team.
The I&RS team meets regularly to identify students who are having
difficulty in school. Referrals may come from the student's team of
teachers, administrator, counselor or parent.
Once a student is identified the I&RS team meets to gather
information and pinpoint the problems. Parents are notified and the
group then begin to develop interventions and strategies to help
both the student and teachers.
Parents who have concerns about their children in school should
consult their child's counselor or Ms. Francavilla to discuss possible avenues to
solutions.
