First Day of School - September 2nd

Back to School Night - Wednesday, September 8th

No School - September 6th and 9th

Mrs. Sabarese is looking forward to a great year with the incoming 2010-2011 class!  As you begin your last year in elementary school, know that the main goal is getting you ready to move on to the middle school.  You will work hard, but we will do many exciting things together.  You can get a sneak peak at one project by scrolling to the bottom of this page to view the Digital Storytelling Projects done by last year's class.  Just click on the link under Social Studies.

It is expected that you will complete your summer projects and bring them with you to school the first day.  There is a link to the summer projects on the White Rock website.

To have a successful year, it is important to have tools that will help you with organization. The following supplies are suggested for all 5th graders:

Pencils
Erasers
Colored Pencils Plus 2 Red Pencils
Enclosed Pencil Sharpener
Erasable Pens
Pencil Pouch (no box)
Index cards (3 x 5)
5 Book Socks (jumbo size)
2 inch Binder (Sturdy) with 5 subject dividers
Loose leaf paper (enough to use throughout the year)
better to buy during back to school sales:)

2 Dry Erase Markers (not wet erase)
1-2 Highlighters

Post it Notes (3"X3")

Come to school the first day with a great attitude, be ready to work and you will have a successful year!

Parents:  A few ‘Donations’ to keep everyone healthy would be appreciated if possible:

Disinfecting wipes
Hand sanitizers
Paper towels

Tissues

Thank you very much:)

Enjoy the rest of the summer!!!
