I am looking forward to meeting my new class for
the 2010-2011 school year. You will be my 13th group of fifth
graders I've taught. My main goal is to get you ready for
middle school academically and socially. In order to make that
possible, there are several things you can do to prepare yourself.
First, you should complete your summer projects that your fourth
grade teachers gave you. If you lose anything, try checking
the district website (www.jefftwp.org)
for a link. As for materials, the best thing to do for
yourself is to make sure you have several pencils and a pen. I
would love it if every student had a way to keep their assignments
in order. I need you to have sections in your binders labeled
for SS, Math, Reading, and Science. You received a supply list
from your fourth grade teacher, but should you have difficulty
obtaining anything I will be glad to help you once school starts.
If your parents want to donate any supplies, we always need
disinfecting wipes and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups for Mr. A.
I am so excited to meet you all. School is
as fun as you make it out to be. I hope you will arrive with a
smile on your face and introduce yourself to me when you get here.
We will have a great year together. Your first day is
September 2nd. See you then!
