In order to create an even stronger educational experience for our students, the district implemented a long-range strategic planning process entitled Jefferson Township 2015 (JT2015) in 2007.  Working with community stakeholders, students, and staff, a task force conducted group sessions in order to identify the skills, attributes, and strategies that stakeholders believed will lead the Jefferson Township schools to a system of excellence.  Next, an advisory committee composed of students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other community members articulated five goals by consolidating stakeholder input.  In July, 2007 the Board of Education adopted the goals for 2015 (click here to view) which enable the board, administrators, and staff to focus energies and resources in order to provide programs and experiences that will foster academic achievement and make our students good citizens, good workers, and lifelong learners.  A master plan, the vision for achieving the JT2015 goals, was developed by five committees—one for each of the goals— that worked to craft plans. 

Now in place, the strategic master plan outlines the tasks, resources, and timeframes for addressing key student-centered issues in the district. It charts a course for the future. The JT2015 Steering Committee is charged with monitoring the implementation of the plan, reporting progress to the board, and recommending adjustments—as needed.
