A Message from the High School Principal:

Dear Parents & Students,

I hope you are enjoying the summer.  Here at JTHS we are busy preparing for the 2015-16 school year.  There are a few things you should do between now and the start of the school year to ensure a smooth and successful experience:

1.  Complete summer assignments and summer reading.  Simply click on and look for the Summer Assignments link on the left side of the page.  Click on 'High School' then find the assignments for the classes you are taking.  If you have questions, you may email the department supervisor.  If you need a copy of Orphan Train, please contact the main office to borrow a copy.

2.  SENIORS:  Registration is open for parking for 2015-16 until August 14th.  To be eligible for the privilege to park on campus, you must have a 2.5 GPA and satisfactory discipline and attendance records.  In addition, you AND a parent must attend one summer parking meeting.  The last meeting for this summer will be held on Monday August 10th at 6:30 p.m. in the HS Auditorium.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Nadler.

3.  FRESHMEN:  Welcome to JTHS!  As members of the Class of 2019, you are invited to attend Freshman Orientation on Friday August 28th.  You will receive a letter soon via School Messenger with all of the information.  Once again this year, there will be transportation provided from each of the elementary schools to the orientation.  The bus schedule will be included with your invitation.

4.  Be sure to read all of the information sent to you in the summer mailing in mid-August.  We revise all of our materials annually to accurately reflect the procedures and expectations we have at JTHS.  From parking and student drop-off information to procedures for early dismissals, everything you need will be in the summer mailing and student handbook.   Please spend time with this information prior to the start of school.

5.  Make plans to attend Back-to-School Night on Thursday October 1st.

Enjoy your remaining vacation,
Karl A. Mundi
