The Internet is a great resource for children, teens, and adults.  Jefferson Township Public Schools has published a brochure dealing with Cybersafety.  This brochure will help students and parents find safe and reliable websites.  

The following sites have been reviewed by teachers and have been found to be trustworthy and secure; however, sites change.  It is always prudent to review these sites before your child uses them or explore them with your child, and to protect the privacy of your family.

We are endeavoring to put together a list of sites that will help students with academic pursuits.  Please email us if you find a site that you would like included.

www.getnetwise.org	This part of the GetNetWise site deals with their recommendations for safe children's sites.  This is an extensive list, so please review them first.  GetNetWise is a public service brought to you by Internet industry corporations and public interest organizations to help ensure that families have safe, constructive, and educational or entertaining online experiences.
www.wiredkids.org	WiredKids has a team (STAR - Site Team and Research) that evaluates sites before they are listed on their safe sites list.  In the ChatRoom list, you will find teacher made sites that may include links to various educational topics including kids financial tips.  While many of these sites have been evaluated by the local parent-teacher organizations, you should preview these sites.
