Chris Brown, President

Chris is employed as an engineer at Picatinny Arsenal with a bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master’s degree from Stevens Institute of Technology. Chris is an active volunteer in the schools and coaches multiple rec sports, including baseball and softball. Chris is an active member of the Milton United Methodist Church serving in IT leadership positions. Chris has lived in Jefferson since 2009; he has three children in the Jefferson school district and serves on the Board of Education to ensure that children of all ages are represented in the decision-making process and that the district delivers the best educational experience possible.

Christine Mallimo-Orna, Vice President

Christine is a special education art teacher at a private school as well as the local union president for her school. She has lived in Jefferson since 2003. She is a former board member of the JTHS MBPA, but is still very active in the organization and still volunteers with them often. She volunteers with the local Boy Scouts when needed as well. Christine is interested in improving communication with the community as well as supporting the board during the current budget crisis and advocating for special needs students.

Alberto Camacho

Alberto has been a Jefferson resident since 2010 and has proudly raised his family here with his wife Christina. He has two daughters currently in the district (Kindergarten and Sixth Grade) and has long been active in our community, be it as a youth soccer rec coach and board member, a parishioner at St Thomas the Apostle RC Church in Oak Ridge, or as a volunteer at many school functions. During the day, Alberto is a partner at a NJ law firm specializing in representing both non-profit corporations and public housing authorities in the development and management of affordable housing. He received his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) from Clemson University. Alberto is looking forward to serving on the Board and bringing steady, thoughtful leadership that supports teachers, strengthens education, respects our parents and taxpayers, and puts our children first.

Christopher Natale
3-Year Term: 2025-2027

Chris earned a Master’s Degree in Biology, has more than 25 years of pharmaceutical experience working in Clinical Drug Development, and taught part-time for over 20 years at Montclair State University. Chris has lived in Jefferson since 1999, and his children are proud Falcons, having graduated from Jefferson. Chris is an active supporter of multiple charities, including the Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum and O.S.C.A.R. As a Board Member, Chris wants the students to have access to as many opportunities as possible, whether they be academic or extra-curricular. Chris wants to be a part of creating an educational environment where the students thrive, embrace a love of learning, and are prepared for the future.

Diane Perez

Diane is a Registered Nurse with experience in Medical-Surgical and Oncology Nursing. Diane has been in Nursing Administration for the past 25 years. Diane has lived in Jefferson since 2005 and has a son in JTHS. Diane is proud to serve as a member of the Jefferson Township Board of Education, where she can advocate for all students with learning differences and see them reach their highest potential.

Stacey Poulas

Stacey is an elementary school teacher and has been since 1999 - she is a compassionate and enthusiastic educator, creating and nurturing a lifelong love of knowledge in children. Stacey has lived in Jefferson since 2002. Stacey and her family are proud Falcons; her two daughters graduated from Jefferson. As a Board Member, Stacey strives to advance public education and promote the achievement of all students through effective governance.

Kristin Ruggiero

Kristin is Financial Controller at Evonik, a German chemical company, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Master’s in Finance from William Paterson University. Kristin has lived in Jefferson for 11 years and has four children; three currently in our school district with one coming in the next school year! Kristin has served on the Milton Tri-School PTA as Treasurer for several years and is an active volunteer for our schools and sports programs. Kristin looks forward to serving on the Board of Education and working to advocate for our children, strengthen our district, and support our community to help make Jefferson a township to be proud of.

Jill Small

Jill is a middle school special education teacher with more than fifteen years of experience. Jill loves watching and helping her students make connections with what they learn in school and their own lives. Jill received Teacher of the Year at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Jill has lived in Jefferson since 2002. Jill has two sons; one is a proud, recently graduated Falcon and her other son is in JTHS. Jill is active in the Jefferson community having been an active volunteer for the Jefferson Township Teen Scene, Little League, and Junior Woman’s Club. Jill joined the Board of Education to advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves.

Christine Seugling
3-Year Term: 2026-2028

Christine Seugling has been a resident of the district for over 20 years. She was born in Wayne, NJ and is a graduate of Pequannock Township High School. She is raising three children within the Jefferson Township community, all of whom grew up in the district and are going through the Jefferson School system. Christine has built a successful professional career as a paralegal and a local real estate agent. She has also been deeply involved in youth athletics, previously serving as Treasurer for the Jefferson Township Recreation Baseball and as Vice President of the Booster Club for the Jefferson Township High School Football Team.
