Substitute Information
Substitute Requirements
Substitute Teachers must hold a valid NJ Substitute Teaching Certificate; or, valid NJ Teaching Certificate; or 30 College Credits and an interest in obtaining a NJ Substitute Teaching Certificate.
Substitute Nurses must hold Must hold valid RN License and NJ Substitute Certificate, or NJ Department of Education School Nurse Certificate.
Substitute Aides, Custodians, Secretaries and Hall Monitors are required to hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
Substitute Bus Drivers must hold a valid Commercial Drivers License (Class B) with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement, and must have a respectable motor vehicle driving record.
