Our Mission

The members of the Mathematics Department are dedicated to providing mathematics education of the highest quality to their students and to meeting the many educational needs of their students.  It is our mission to engage in the teaching and learning of mathematics that will challenge students to be independent learners and develop sound reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills necessary to compete in a global society.  We strive to help students develop an approach to mathematics that includes a growth mindset and an appreciation of challenges as a learning opportunity.  We aim to prepare students for future math courses, the challenges of the real world and to become confident lifelong learners.
