The mission of the JTHS Multimedia Broadcasting and Journalism Academy is to provide select students an alternative, but progressive and elite high school experience. Students who attend the JTHS Multimedia Broadcasting & Journalism Academy will engage in an honors level theme-based curriculum, and move through the program in a cohort with their grade level. Students will not only enroll in honors level Broadcast Journalism specific courses, but beginning Junior year, they will be eligible to earn up to 24 credits from Fairleigh Dickinson University. FDU course work is listed in bold text.
Vision
The Jefferson Township High School Multimedia Broadcasting and Journalism Academy encourages students to examine and produce 21st Century multimedia content in order to purposefully connect with the world around them. When students engage in a broadcast journalism theme based curriculum, in conjunction with higher education partnerships, they develop knowledge, skills, and professional ethics related to the communications field.
Mission
The Jefferson Township High School Multimedia Broadcasting and Journalism Academy is an elite honors program with a communications focus. JTHS Multimedia Broadcasting and Journalism Academy students engage in unique learning experiences including, but not limited to, TV & Radio Broadcasting, Podcasting, TED Talks, Sports & Entertainment Journalism Reporting, Public Speaking, Social Media Marketing, Blogging, and Graphic Design Editing.
