In order for the Jefferson Township School District to prepare our students of today for tomorrow, we need to provide them with an engaging, personalized curriculum that will inspire and empower them to flourish as ethical and global citizens in the 21st century.
All students have unique needs, abilities, and interests. Educational technology enables students to experience a more personalized curriculum to gain the 21st-century skills necessary to be successful in college and beyond. Our commitment to creating digital learning environments will be evident through our new one to one technology initiative.
With our district goals in mind, promoting student use of instructional technology across the district as we progress through our planning and implementation of this one to one technology initiative will result in a transformation in our learning environments and accelerate student learning.
We look forward to you joining us as partners in this effort and hope you will check this site frequently for updates about the one to one program in the Middle School and High School. For questions regarding the one to one program, please contact Kelly Villa at firstname.lastname@example.org (973) 663-5780 ext. 5077 or Bob Fleming at email@example.com (973) 697-3535 ext. 5844.
There is no cost for the receipt of a student laptop from the Jefferson Township Public School District. By accepting the District-owned laptop, parents/guardians are accepting full responsibility for the repair or replacement cost of the device. Each device will be assigned to one particular student for the duration of the school year and therefore it is the responsibility of the student to maintain control and possession of the device at all times in compliance with District directives.
ANY damaged, lost or stolen devices must be reported immediately to District personnel.
The District has selected Worth Ave. Group to provide affordable insurance that will cover your child's laptop for the entire year. Worth Ave. Group provides the following in their coverage:
- Accidental damage
- Liquid submersion
- Cracked screen
- Fire and flood
- Natural disasters
The cost for insurance is $49.00 annually. Parents/guardians wishing to take advantage of this opportunity can sign up for the insurance at https://gpo.worthavegroup.com/gpo/jeffersontwp/. Please refer to the Insurance Help Document for directions. We strongly suggest purchasing the insurance for your child’s laptop.
